In June, I began writing a book about my solo trip across the globe and my time in India. From the start of that adventure, I experienced Divine incidents, interventions, miracles and connections and learned a lot about myself along the way. At the magical number of 108 pages, my editor, the lovely Jen Knox, said she was left feeling she wanted to know more about my back story. Respecting her expertise, I gave her feedback careful consideration.
At the time I started writing the book about my travels, I also began to document my healing journey with a series of blog posts but, truth be told, the blog writing felt clunky and clinical. It didn’t feel natural. I was writing one page for every twenty in the book. There are a million people out there that can guide you through healing with scholarly expertise in trauma, recovery, protocols and medicine. I can’t do that. When I ask myself the question “What do I most want to share about my own healing journey?” The answer is… the magic. The magic that appeared when I reached my limit and the end of what I knew. The magic that showed up as Divine guidance through signs, symbols and synchronicities. The healing magic of gratitude, forgiveness, acceptance, surrender, and above all, LOVE. The magic that unfolded for four years and delivered me to India.
So, I need to back up a bit.
In the coming days/weeks/months, I will be sharing select stories extracted from my personal journals of the past five years. Names may be changed (unless permission is granted) and content edited to include additional details or exclude superfluous or insignificant information (like, who cares what I had for dinner every day?), but the stories are truthful and accurate accounts of my experiences.
I never intended to share my journals. I write to hear my own voice and process my experience. These journals convey my weaknesses, vulnerabilities, setbacks, and failures but also, the supernatural, paranormal, miraculous events that launched me on an incredible journey that is still unfolding to this day.
Maybe we could all use a little magic in our lives. Maybe my story will help you connect to yours. I’m here to tell you, the magic is there if you look for it. Answers come if you listen. We are all wired for connection and communication with the Divine in spite of the world’s efforts to work it out of us.
